I was at my friend Meghan's house yesterday and she and I were both tossing around ideas about what to do with toddlers who are 2 when mommy is with the new baby...
Meghan's mom passed along a great idea that Meghan shared with me.
When you are nursing or feeding your new baby have the toddler play with a special basket of toys that they can only take out when the baby is feeding. It will make the toys pretty special and since the toys are "new and different" it will keep the toddler entertained for a bit!
Something I do?
I ask my little guy to pick out some books. I have no problems reading to him while feeding the other one--it's a nice quiet activity. For larger books I have him hold them. It's nice and relaxing...usually! :)
