One of my mom-friends suggested that we meet up with the kids on the weekend...at a drop-in centre. It worked out really well and I have to tell you that it's something I recommend to lots of moms, here's why:
1) takes the pressure off hosting because no one is hosting you are just meeting up
2) a good drop in centre has either lots of space or lots of age-appropriate toys to keep the kids busy
3) It's indoors so you don't have to consider the weather
4) typically it's free or very inexpensive
5) it's not a program so you don't have to worry about missing a class
